About
I just recently left Microsoft, where I helped support architecture that improved storage costs and space for OneDrive and SharePoint.
Before that, I'd been with Meta working on XR related projects.
When I'm not in tech mode, I'm expressing my creative side through content-making.
I get excited by all things mixed reality and have been able to make and work on interesting things because of it.
Experience
Where I've worked
-
Aug 2024 – 2026 Microsoft
Software EngineerRedmond, WA- Engineered and maintained automated, large-scale Azure Blob Storage architecture for data ingestion, hosting, and content delivery at petabyte scale, supporting hundreds of thousands of enterprise customers.
- Designed and shipped a recurring C# job that detects and alerts on orphaned identity authorization apps left behind by decommissioned hosting infrastructure, surfacing ~1K unused apps across 300 inactive environments.
- Automated steps in the blob deployment pipeline, cutting manual deployment effort by up to 8x and letting the system meet its target of 100 deployment requests per month.
-
Nov 2022 – May 2024 Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory
Lab AssistantNew York, NY- Authored a Jupyter Book of onboarding documentation and tutorial notebooks for the M²LInES research group, covering environment setup, data pipelines, and model training for subgrid parameterization research.
- Wrote Python to run quasi-geostrophic ocean simulations with pyqg, coarse-grain them into low-resolution datasets, and train fully convolutional neural networks to predict subgrid parameterizations.
-
Summer 2023 Microsoft
Software Engineer InternRedmond, WA- Implemented Dropbox's open-source lossless video recompression solution in C++ to evaluate whether it could reduce Azure Blob video storage by a projected 20%.
- Tested it across a range of video codecs, uncovering quality loss and codec types it failed to compress further, which informed the team's decision on its viability.
-
Summer 2022 Meta
Software Engineer InternSeattle, WA- Created a new voice command feature for Meta's Horizon Worlds AI voice assistant on Oculus, using the Meta Voice SDK and Wit.ai's NLU training service to interpret user intent.
- Implemented accessible voice-command entry points in ReactVR, letting people spawn requested objects by voice for hands-free world-building.
-
Summer 2021 Facebook
FB University InternRemote- Ideated and programmed ARt Gal, a social, art-sharing AR Android app in Java, where people attach custom augmented effects to physical 2D artwork using ARCore and the Augmented Images API.
- Integrated the Google Maps SDK so people can discover nearby artworks and view effects left by others, with content stored and served through Firebase.
